Your journey begins at Jock Safari Lodge in the south of the Kruger National Park, where you’ll be greeted by the rhythmic sounds of the bushveld and the warm hospitality of Africa. After your safari adventure, it is time to hit the beach. Travel to the pristine white sands of Mozambique’s Santa Maria Peninsula, the site of Machangulo Beach Lodge. Bask in the sunshine on the beach, indulge in delicious seafood, or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Explore the hidden treasures of the underwater world while snorkeling or diving along the lovely coral reefs of Mozambique.
Highlights of the Tour
Kruger National Park
The southern section of South Africa’s Kruger National Park offers terrific wildlife sightings. The region is noted for its plentiful wildlife, with the Crocodile River separating it from green farmland. The river is also a great place to see crocodiles and hippos in their natural habitat. Known as the ‘Southern Circle’, this area of Kruger is particularly well-known for its rhinos and lions, with each pride displaying distinct hunting skills and behaviors.
Santa Maria Peninsula
The Santa Maria Peninsula, nestled below Inhaca Island, is a hidden gem with real Mozambique charm. The charming Machangulo Peninsula, as it is also known, overlooks the beautiful Maputo Bay. The village is surrounded by lush mangroves, featuring a traditional market, and local restaurants, serving delicious Mozambican cuisine. Visitors can indulge in a range of activities, from leisurely boat trips around the glistening bay to thrilling deep-sea fishing and scuba diving adventures. The bay’s turquoise waters are perfect for snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, and water skiing. In the evenings, the gentle sound of waves lapping the shore provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying a sundowner and watching the sunset.

We have therefore developed this list for you to read at your leisure. All tips are not always relevant to all the areas that you travel to – depending on your tour.
Due to a lack of transparent and credible regulation relating to ethically acceptable practices where captive wildlife is concerned, AFRICA HERE has taken the decision not to support any activities that include physical contact with captive wildlife. We urge you to consider the ethical implications of taking part in any such activity that may be offered at your lodge.
Arriving for Safari
Get some rest on the first day of your arrival – you may need some time to adjust to a different time zone. Rather arrive a day early to rest and start off your tour refreshed and ready for adventure!
Currency
When you need to exchange your currency, avoid any exchanges on the street or in other areas that may seem suspect. Always note that even when people approach you with an, e.g., 50% premium exchange rate offer, this exchange is considered part of the black market and is illegal! Hotels, Camps and Lodges can change money, but sometimes the rate is slightly lower. We recommend that you visit an accredited Bureau de Change.
Credit Cards
Credit cards such as Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted in most areas as well as at bigger hotels and lodges.
Hospitals and Pharmacies
The larger towns in Southern Africa have pharmacies and hospitals, but you should always make sure you have enough of your medicine in case the pharmacies/hospitals don’t stock them.

True African hospitality will welcome you at the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to transfer you to Jock Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park. Unwind at your own pace and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.

True African hospitality will welcome you at the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to transfer you to Jock Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park. Unwind at your own pace and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Day4-7- Machangulo beach lodge
Day 5-8- Maputo international airport
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before taking a boat for your transfer back to Maputo. You will then depart to Maputo International Airport for your flight home.
