Gondwana Game Reserve

Gondwana Game Reserve, located within a four-hour drive from Cape Town International Airport along South Africa’s scenic Garden Route, offers an exceptional luxury safari experience. This 11,000-hectare private, malaria-free game reserve is renowned for its Big 5 safari encounters. Guests can indulge in luxurious accommodation at the safari-style Kwena Suites and Kwena Lodge Villas, all featuring stunning views of the mountains and roaming wildlife. The reserve offers exhilarating game drives led by expert guides, where visitors can witness lions, elephants, giraffe, Cape buffalo, and hippos in their natural habitat. Additionally, there are many activities such as mountain biking, Africology spa treatments, guided bush walks, and conservation programs. Pre-Tour Information

Transport

You will be picked up at Cape Town International Airport for transfers between Cape Town Airport and your hotel (or vice versa), 2×4 vehicles may be utilized. All luggage, besides hand luggage and photo equipment, is carried on the vehicle or trailer roof racks to ensure maximum comfort in the vehicle. Some game drives may be conducted in open-sided safari vehicles.

Visas

The onus is on the client to organize all visas required to visit the countries stated on the itinerary.

Travel Insurance

Please note that travel and cancellation insurance is mandatory for every guest travelling with JENMAN African Safaris. All insurance is solely the responsibility of our guests. Please ensure you arrange your own insurance with protection for the full duration of your journey to cover personal injury, damage and loss of personal items including but not limited to camera equipment and other electronic items, medical expenses, repatriation expenses and loss of luggage, etc. Please speak to your travel agent if you require assistance.

Grootbos Experience

Tucked between mountains, forest and sea, Grootbos Nature Reserve is an exclusive area that boasts some of South Africa’s richest biodiversity and most dramatic landscapes. And with such a diverse area, Grootbos has a variety of activities and experiences on offer – encounter magnificent Southern Right Whales either from the coast or the ocean itself, stand at Africa’s southernmost tip, or even take a unique tour exploring the secret life of a beehive and taste delicious honey-inspired treats.

Day 1 - Cape Town, South Africa

On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. You have the remainder of the day at leisure to acclimatize and relax.

Day 2 - Cape Town, South Africa

Experience a unique and private guided adventure, ascending the mountain with a cable car ride, as you explore Table Mountain. Discover the beauty of the Company Gardens, delve into the treasures of the Iziko South African Museum, and step back in time at the historic Castle of Good Hope.

Day 3 - Cape Town, South Africa

Following a delectable breakfast, your journey will begin with a comprehensive private guided tour of the Cape Peninsula, encompassing sites like the Atlantic Seaboard, Cape Point, the charming Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, and the lush Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 4 - 5 Gondwana Game Reserve

Depart the city for an exciting safari adventure! A transfer will take you to the Kwena Lodge, located within the Gondwana Private Game Reserve. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy lunch at the lodge. You’ll have the opportunity to partake in two daily game drives.

Day 6 - End of Tour

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Cape Town International Airport in time for your departure flight. We hope to welcome you on one of our African adventures again soon.
